Wow! Is it just me, or does the start of the Del Amitri track sound just like Counting Crows?

Suggestions for the “out” podcast:

Allman Brothers Band – One Way Out
Climax Blues Band – Reaching Out
ELO – Can’t Get it Out of My Head
Joe Walsh – Time Out
Kansas – Miracles Out of Nowhere
Robin Trower – I’m Out To Get You
Steely Dan – Time Out Of Mind
Three Dog Night – Out In The Country
Swing Out Sister – Break Out

Really enjoy your podcasts!

Another vote for Steely Dan’s Time Out of Mind. Also:
Poco–Find Out in Time
Billy Joel–Movin’ Out
James Taylor–If I Keep My Heart Out of Sight
Joe Jackson–Steppin Out
Five for Fighting–Out of Love
Hall and Oates–Out of Touch

Five out ‘cast suggestions come to mind:
Boom, Boom (Out Go the Lights) as a possible “guilty pleasure”?
We Gotta Get Out of This Place – The Animals: though there are also a number of great covers…
Take Me Out To the Ballgame: Though this might seem a goofy request, the (instrumental) version released by Doc & Merle Watson is unbelievable!
Out on the Weekend – Neil Young
Out of Time – The Rolling Stones
: from their early years, and one of my favorites.

Hey, Erik — which Counting Crows song are you referring to in your comment up top? I don’t hear anything reminiscent of CC when I listen to “Roll To Me,” but then I’ve listened to a lot more Del Amitri than I have Counting Crows.

Hi, Pat:
I’ve never heard Del Amitri before, and really don’t know anything about Counting Crows (other than what I’ve heard on the Shrek 2 soundtrack). I was commenting on the general sound, rather than a particular song. Then again, it’s probably just me… ;^)

Somewhere Out There – Steve Earle
Sit This One Out – Solomon Burke
Let’s Straighten It Out – Etta James
I Get Out – Ziggy Marley
Worn Out – Kelly Joe Phelps
Out Of Touch – Lucinda Williams
Hanging Out With The Horny Girls – The Scabs(Bob Schneider)
From Teresa:
Everybody Out Of The Water – The Wallflowers
I Figured You Out – Mary Lou Lord
Out All Night – Todd Snider
Take Me Out To The Dancehall – Pat Green
Take Me Out To The Ballgame – Steve Goodman
Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window – Bob Dylan
