ThemeLounge #62 – Hey

Hey, did your teacher ever tell you, “Hay is for horses?” What was that all about? I mean, aren’t teachers supposed to tell you stuff you don’t know? Anyway, this is the Hey show, and we’ve put together some songs that’ll make you stand up and say, “Hey, this is great music!”

I hope you enjoy the show; it was assembled with valuable input from several listeners, and that is just great participation to have. I’m happy that it mixes a bunch of different styles, featuring tunes from Steely Dan, Fountains Of Wayne, The Pixies and many others. And then of course there’s an Alex Segment From Yesteryear that finds us relaxing by the riverside, with my son chatting halfheartedly (I think he wanted to return to his tanning pursuits).

And now, having said Hey way too many times in one hour, it’s time to plan for our next show. The theme for that one will be Know, and I just, er…Know that you’ve got a song or two that would be perfect. So tell us! All you gotta do is either send e-mail to the address shown at right, post a comment here on the blog, or hit the “Call Me!” button at right to leave us a message!

Look on the right-hand side of the page – we now have pretty buttons for our Facebook page and our Twitter account! Please like and follow, and please be sure to share ThemeLounge with your friends! We’d love to get as many people as possible listening and participating! See you next episode!

Hey, what an excellent episode! Not a weak track in the bunch. After my first listen, my favorite track this week is Alex’s pick (I’ll be buying that one).

Very nice! I liked all but one; I am not a big Pixies fan, but you are expanding my horizons ;)

Suggestions I “know” you’ll want to play:
I Know–Blind Pilot
Now I Know–The Thorns
Lucky to Know You–Blue Merle
I Know–Pat McGee Band

He Doesn’t Know Why – Fleet Foxes
I Should Have Known Better – The Beatles
I Should Have Known It – Tom Petty & THB
No One Knows – Queens of the Stone Age
Don’t Know How to Party – Mighty Mighty Bosstones
