ThemeLounge #59 – Bad

Hi there! Well, it sure is nice of you to come back to ThemeLounge after we ignored you for so long. Sorry for behaving so badly, but we got caught up in a bunch of other stuff and before we knew it, nearly two months had gotten away from us! But we’re back just like we promised, and I’m hopeful that we’ll be able to avoid such a bad delay for Show #60.

Anyway, in case you hadn’t guessed yet, this is the Bad show, and it turns out to be a good opportunity for you to hear some great music! In this episode you’ll hear songs from Tom Petty, Eric Clapton, the Jayhawks, NRBQ, Sublime and more.

One note about this show: the segment with Alex was recorded a few weeks ago, so the references to various end-of-senior-year activities are a bit out of sync. He has already graduated, folks, and we couldn’t be more proud!

Interestingly, one of the qualities that Alex’s high school aims to instill in its graduates is being open to growth. And of course, Alex’s matriculation means that a whole new world will be opening up to him. How fitting, then, that the theme of our next episode, Show #60, will be Open!. Think you know some songs that might fit? Please send your suggestions via e-mail to the address shown at right, post a comment here on the blog, or hit the “Call Me!” button at right to leave us a message! Thanks for listening, and tell your friends!
